Schillinger, Ph.D.

Our Beans - The Difference

care in the development of each of its unique soyfood products from
seed to plate. We start with superior soybeans from selected varieties.
Varieties are chosen for their natural components that influence taste,
texture and nutrition, as well as for purity from genetically modified
organisms, and whether or not they can be produced in organic production
systems.

soybeans are processed using technologies totally free of chemicals.
The beans in other companies soyfoods are often processed with
a chemical called hexane, which alters flavor and strips the soybeans
of some of their healthful isoflavones. Our chemical-free process maintains
the wholesome components of soy while preserving the natural goodness.

Better soyfoods start with better beans
All soybeans are not created equal. Most are meant for animal feed. Our sister company, Schillinger Seed, develops soybean varieties specifically for people to eat in soyfoods made and sold only by Heartland Fields. The beany taste is gone. The protein is 33% higher than the protein content of standard soybeans.
Soybeans are grown by farmers we know and trust
Only selected farmers produce our soy grain in identity-preserved management systems so that Heartland Fields can assure the highest quality. We know every seed lot, every field and every step used to produce the patented, good-for-you, all-natural soybeans that go into our soyfoods.
Natural processing preserves all the healthful goodness of soy.
Heartland Fields uses no chemicals. Only heat, water and pressure are used to convert the clean soybeans to low-fat flour and then to High Protein Textured Soy\®
(HPTS®). The HPTS® is shaped into various forms and densities, which are quickly rehydrated with non-animal natural flavors and used in delicious, nutritious, frozen, Ready-to-Heat-and-Serve Soy Entrées. They contain the wholesome components of soy with preserved natural goodness and healthfulness.
